My work has always focused on "communication." Over the years the medium/delivery method has become more interactive, but the connecting thread is always about the message. This section is divided into main groupings, and each group has some examples. Explore, and as always, feedback is welcomed.

strategy
In today's information saturated world, information is available constantly, everywhere. Mobile devices, interactive interfaces, narrow-casting, 3D content, all of these support communication and compete for our attention. Without strategy, one can easily be lost, and the message diluted. I've been advising individuals and organizations for years on strategic initatives. Want to know more?

Information architecture

information architecture
The user is the key. An online experience must support the user's goals, or the application will never be a success. I know the process, the methodology, and I've done it all. Click on the image to the right for details.

web design
I've designed sites for companies both large and small, from complex e-commerce sites with serious branding concerns to sites for small start-up organizations. I've designed, directed and implemented. I lived through the dotcom era, and someday I'll tell my story. But for now, you can see some examples of web design.

new media design
When I first came to New York, I wanted to produce CD-ROMs. Well, that was 1994, and that was the original idea. I quickly found myself doing more web-based production, but I did create some interesting pieces. You can get details on the right. Warning! These pieces are wacky. But so much fun.

broadcast design
Early in my career I did a lot of work for video and broadcast. This was back when 3D Studio ran in DOS prior to being ported to Windows. The design challenges were interesting because I had four dimensions (including time) to take into consideration. You can see some things at right.

print design
It all started with print. I was fortunate to be trained in both traditional techniques and the then 'revolutionary' software. I've cut Rubylith, and boy can I run a stat camera. Designed typefaces too (by hand). I still do some print-based work.
